Points to Consider when buying a "SWIFT" Luxury Motorhome?

Why it makes sense to purchase from an Authorised Swift NZ Dealer

A Swift Motor Home not purchased through an authorised New Zealand Dealer is called a "grey market" import.

Grey market imports do not have any back-up with technical issues or availability for spare parts, they also arrive into New Zealand without any Swift/Fiat warranty, and this means that purchasing the vehicle outside the dealership is not a secure route for your investment. On-Sale value - purchase through the “grey” market and your motor homes second hand value will be severely compromised for it's lifetime, due to it not being registered as sold by a New Zealand Authorised Dealer.

Many "Grey Market" imports from the UK are older models which have been unsold in the sales yards in the Uk.  They may have been used for display purposes, demonstration models, or even have been registered on the road and de-registered prior to being sold to NZ as "New"

Based in Auckland and Christchurch we run a 24 hour technical helplines, have fully trained staff who are used to dealing entirely with Swift motorhomes, and do so on a daily basis.  We run a large fleet on rental vehicles ourselves, and are the most experienced dealer Swift has.  Dealerships vary, most have a few motorhomes for sale, and do not build up the technical knowledge of ourselves with our large rental operation. We also have the largest stocks of spares for the Swift range outside the UK.  Our spares and technical knowledge is only available to those who purchase from ourselves, or who have bought their product (Swift, Bessacarr) from Barrons of Taupo.

Iconic Motorhomes also own a large rental motorhomes fleet ourselves of Bolero, Voyager and Kontiki's,  these are of course available to hire as a trial run, purely to help you select the vehicle that suits you and your needs perfectly.  Hire a motorhome for a week (minimum hire 12 days Kontiki), and should you then go on to purchase a vehicle with iconic Motor Homes, 50% of that rental price will be deducted from the cost of your purchase.  This applies to New and Ex Iconic Motor Home Rental vehicles purchased solely through us. * conditions apply as per our rental terms and conditions

Any Swift new motorhome comes with a comprehensive 3 year warranty, as well as a 10 year body shell warranty on 2012 models. 

Our quality second hand models come with a minimum 1 year warranty (or remainder of 3 years warranty from registration date).

Fiat provides a warranty of 2 years on new vehicles. (Or remainder of warranty if applicable when purchasing second hand).

Buying an ex rental motorhome from our luxury motorhome fleet is made easy, our vehicles are generally all two years old or less, and low kilometre vehicles.  Our mainteance programme and care of our own fleet is second to none and vehicles are also fully serviced on sale, and presented to an extremely high standard, giving years of enjoyment.  Vehicles are available throughout the year from Christchurch and Auckland.
